Wake up and smell the garlic! That's right, whole cloves of juicy roasted garlic embedded in a pillowy, freshly baked focaccia are setting TikTok alight.
Daen from Daen's Kitchen, a self-professed garlic girl, shares the recipe for what she describes as the perfect bread for beginners, which is equally delicious and impressive. "Everyone needs a focaccia recipe in their life but especially this one as it incorporates my famous garlic confit," she posted.
Wild garlic confit and rosemary focaccia
Submerging handfuls of peeled, whole cloves of garlic in a wild garlic-infused olive oil, topped with generous sprigs of thyme and rosemary, she roasts the bulbs until they are confit - sweet, soft and caramelised.
Massaging her fingertips into the freshly-risen pillowy focaccia dough, she adds the whole bulbs to each freshly made dimple, and oven bakes the bread. The result is a sumptuous, crackling sweet and aromatic freshly-baked focaccia with sweet pops or garlic confit.
