The third edition of the Michelin Guide Slovenia has been released, and it includes four new one-star restaurants.
The country continues to make inroads as a gastronomic destination - with seven cities across the country now boasting Michelin-starred restaurants - as well as growing its commitment to providing more sustainable and eco-responsible dining experiences.
The new one-star restaurants include: COB, in Portoroz,run by brothers, Mate and Filip Matjaž, which offers a modern take on traditional dishes; Milka, inKranjska Gora, with young chef David Žefran at the helm; chef Uros Stefelin's new restaurant, Hiša Linhart, in downtown Radovljica; and finallyRestavracija Strelec, located in the country's capital inside Ljubliana castle, where chef Igor Jagodic serves up-to-the-moment cuisine.
Chef Ana Roš maintains her two stars at Hiša Franko restaurant - located in theSoča Valley,and at 34th place on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list - where she retains her global reputation as a culinary leader at the best restaurant in the country.
The Slovenia guide also features six restaurants with a green Michelin star, including two newcomers, Hiša Linhart, run by chef Uroš Štefelin; and Gostilna Repovž, operated by chef Meta Repovž, at a 300-year-old family farm.
