The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023: the programme
After returning home to London in 2022, when the original Moscow venue was cancelled, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants is once again travelling to a prestigious destination, and this year it will be the port city of Valencia on Spain’s south-eastern coast.
The city will host a programme of events in June, held across a number of days both in the city and the province of Valencia. It will end with the red-carpet ceremony in the City of Arts and Sciences architectural complex.

With Rasmus Kofoed's Copenhagen restaurant Geraniumclaiming top spot last year, the restaurant will now join the Best of the Best category, leaving the top spot open to another restaurant vying for the title of the 'world’s best'.
As usual, a full programme of events will be rolled out over the celebration in Spain’s third-largest city, including the 50 Best Signature Sessions, where leading chefs collaborate with local restaurants to create one-night-only dining experiences; and #50BestTalks, which will provide a forum for some leading names in the world of gastronomy.
Barcelona’s Disfrutar has been named the best restaurant in the world 2024 by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants with Asador Etxebarri in second place and Table by Bruno Verjus in third.
