Michelin Guide Croatia 2020: the full list

The Michelin Guide has announced its 2020 edition for Croatia with two new stars awarded.

There are now seven restaurants in Croatia that hold the accolade with the two new additions to the red guide joining the five who maintained the high standards in order to keep their stars.

LD Terrace in Korčula, run by Chef Marko Gajski, in Lešić Dimitri Palace in the Old Town on the island of Korčula. and Boškinac in Novalja on the island of Pag was the two new restaurants awarded stars joining holders Noel in Zagreb, Draga di Lovrana in Lovran, Monte in Rovinj, Pelegrini in Šibenik and 360 in Dubrovnik.

“Our inspiration comes from the Adriatic coast’s beautiful gardens – above and below sea level. We are connected to Korčula’s indigenous seasonal produce,” reads LD Terrace's website.

Boškinac is known for its modern interpretation of traditional island cuisine, respecting the culinary heritage of the island of Pag with a wide selection of fish and lamb dishes, cheeses, pršut, olive oils, and honey.

“This year’s selection reflects the positive trends in the Croatian food scene, all around the country. With a total of 70 restaurants in the Guide, Croatian cuisine is evolving and improving, especially by concentrating the energies of the chefs into selecting the best meat and vegetables from the local territories and the freshest fish from small-scale fishing,” Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of Michelin Guides, said.
