The Michelin Guide for Singapore 2019 has been announced and the city has two new three Michelin star restaurants - Odette and Les Amis.
After hosting the World’s 50 Best Restaurants ceremony in June of this year the city-state is riding a culinary high with the crowing of two of its favourite restaurants at the top tier of the Michelin Guide’s rankings.
Singapore has a thriving high-end culinary scene and the city has been obviously lacking a three-star establishment since the Joel Robuchon Restaurant shuttered in 2018. Now it has two.
Locals and visitors familiar with the city will be familiar with both Odette, which currently sits atop of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list as well as at #18 on the World’s 50 Best list. Les Amis sits at #33 on the Asia list.
This year, 44 restaurants received stars, up from 39 last year. Restaurants that made the step up from one star to the two-star category are Saint Pierre.
