The New York Michelin guide for 2017 has been leaked earlier than intended with the big news being that Fredrik Berselius’s Aska restaurant in Williamsburg made the rare move of going straight in at two stars, even though it only opened in July 2016 (see dishes from the restaurant here).
The new guide was originally intended to be published Thursday, however, Eater say they were able to buy the guide at a book store and release the list of new starred restaurants.
The three star category remained unchanged for another year, with the city keeping its six three-starred restaurants. There were a total of 10 new restaurants in the one star category with Contra, Faro and Nix all gaining a star.
In total the Michelin guide for New York 2017 features six restaurants with three stars, 10 restaurants with three stars and 61 restaurants with one star.
Below you can see a full list of restaurants to gain and retain stars in the New York Michelin guide 2017.
