The Michelin Guide for Spain and Portugal 2015 has been announced with two new restaurants receiving a two-star rating.
Aponiente in El Puerto de Santa María and Belcanto in Lisbon both receive their second star.
21 new restaurants entered the guide in the one star category while the three star rating remained unchanged from 2014.
Akelaŕe, Arzak, Azurmendi, DiverXO, El Celler de Can Roca, Martín Berasategui, Quique Dacosta and Sant Pau all maintain Michelin’s highest accolade of three stars.
The Michelin Guide for Spain and Portugal 2015 features eight restaurants with a three-star rating, 21 restaurants in the two-star category and 154 restaurants in the one-star range.
