Danish non-profit MAD, dedicated to global change in the hospitality industry, has announced that its Leadership & Business programmes are open for applications.
MAD is accepting applications for a five-day intensive Leadership & Business programme to be completed towards the end of this year. The course is designed to help hospitality professionals develop the skills they need to effectively lead and work within their teams and manage hospitality businesses successfully.
There are two programmes open for the end of this year – the core Leadership & Business programme for people with 5-10 years of experience in the industry, and one for senior-level hospitality professionals, with over 10 years of experience.
The Leadership & Business programme focuses on everything, from group dynamics and team development, to the foundations of accounting. It aims to give students the knowledge and hands-on training they need to navigate common - but often difficult - situations, like conflict resolution and financial trouble-shooting. It also helps them better understand their own leadership style and develop both the everyday practices and the long-term vision that a successful business requires.
There are two ways to apply for these programmes – the regular enrolment path costs DKK 37,500 (€5000), plus Danish VAT. The fee includes instruction, course materials, and all meals during school hours. Flights to Copenhagen, accommodations, and pocket money are not included.
A scholarship programme exists for those who would benefit from the programme but would otherwise be unable to attend for lack of funds. MAD awarded 200 scholarships last year and aims to increase that number in the future.
