Spring is in the air and the excitement is palpable, as restaurants emerging from lockdown begin looking for new staff.
Chef René Redzepi of Noma in Copenhagen is looking for a senior front of house person to join his dynamic team. For a restaurant that has locked down twice, and flipped to burgers and back, this looks like a unique long-term opportunity for a skilled professional to join the team as they turn the page on an exciting new chapter.
"Leadership experience and a strong background in wine and beverage is preferable. We are also looking for someone willing to make a long-term commitment," said the post on @nomacph.
How to Apply
If you think you sound like the right person, send your application to foh@noma.dk
Noma re-opens with a 'Summer Season' menu on 1 June highlighting seasonal vegetables and a little bit of seafood. "We can’t wait to show you all of the creativity and positivity that’s come out of a very challenging period," the website reads. Reservations are yet to open.
Redzepi and his team will dedicate the first day of opening to 100 Danish pandemic heroes as a way of saying thank you. A further 100 dinners will be offered for international residents once travel is possible.
Who Else is Hiring?
Daniel Humm's Eleven Madison Park restaurant in New York is also seeking managers to run their restaurant dining room and kitchen. Mauro Colagreco is hiring kitchen staff at Mirazur, the No. 1 restaurant on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, and Hisa Franko is looking for talented and curious food professionals to join Ana Ros' team in Slovenia.
