Germany continues to grow its impressive collection of Michelin starred restaurants and the 2019 Michelin guide to Germany released this week has five new two star awards as well as 37 new one star restaurants.
Purs in Andernach, which opened just one year ago under head chef Christian Eckhardt gets two stars while others to achieve two star status included Luce d’Oro in Krün, restaurant Sosein in Heroldsberg, Alexander Herrmann by Tobias Bätz in Wirsberg and Ox & Klee in Cologne. This takes the total number of two star restaurants in Germany up to 38, a very respectable number indeed.
