Adour in New York, a restaurant that has been run by the French chef Alain Ducasse for five years is set to serve its last ever meal on the 17th November.
The chef has given little reason as to why the restaurant will be closed only saying that it a move he has been considering since spring.
Adour offers up high end cuisine with a $125 tasting menu and expensive Al La Carte options. It's the second French restaurant to close in the big apple this year with Joel Robuchon announcing that his L’Atelier restaurant would close back in June.
Ducasse's Adour at the St. Regis in Washington will remain open but with two of the industry's heavy weights pulling out of the city in one year, maybe there's high end dining shift underway in NYC.
