With the Grand Finale of S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition 2024-25 set to take place in Milan later this year, you have an exciting chance to be part of the action by voting for your favorite young chef to win the Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award.

What Is the Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award?

The Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award is a collateral prize of the competition, the only one voted for by the public, given to the young chef who you think best represents their personal beliefs with a signature dish. It is a chance for readers of Fine Dining Lovers and the wider gastronomic community to have their say on the future of gastronomy. 

The collateral awards, which also include the S.Pellegrino Social Responsibility Award, voted for by the Sustainable Restaurant Association, and the Acqua Panna Connection in Gastronomy Award, voted for by the competition Mentors, sit alongside the main prize, the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Award, which was won by young chef Nelson Freitas from Portugal at the last edition.

15 regional winners have already been chosen, all of whom will be competing for your vote and the chance to claim the global Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award. You can meet all the chefs, see their dishes and vote here. Voting closes May 30. Remember, vote for the young chef who you think best represents their personal beliefs with a signature dish.

Who Won the Global Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award in 2022-23?

Singapore’s Ian Goh won the global Fine Dining Lovers Food for Thought Award at S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy Competition 2022-23, with his signature dish, Heritage Lamb.
