Fans of Wylie Dufresne's innovative cuisine are raging about the menu at his new pub-style restaurant Alder, which opened last night in New York City's East Village.
The menu which is finally available on the restaurant website has very interesting options, all of which have a molecular twist on classic dishes. Menu items include rye pasta with shaved pastrami, a Caesar nigiri, oxtail stew with fried plantains and vanilla ice cream with red pepper oil.
Alder is open for dinner only and serves food prepared with Dufresne's signature avant-garde style but in a more relaxed atmosphere than his flagship restaurant wd-50.
A peak at the restaurant website not only revealed the chef's lovely menu but also some cool images of Dufresne in the kitchen (like the one pictured above), so do pay it a visit.
