As we've seen, Michelin is changing. What with the awarding of the first ever Michelin star to a street food stall in Singapore and news of the world's cheapest two star restaurant in Shanghai, where you can eat lunch for as little as $7, the idea that you can eat Michelin standard food without breaking the bank is taking hold.
With that in mind, we've compiled a list of eight restaurants where you can get a Michelin star lunch in London for $50 or less (excluding wine and service). Nothing for $7 unfortunately, you'll have to hop on a plane to Shanghai for that.

1. Restaurant Story
Tom Sellers' first London restaurant offers four courses inspired by his own 'story' for £39 ($50), and the chef's time under Rene Redzepi, Thomas Keller and Tom Aikens. Check out Sellers' open letter to a London food critic here.
2. Gymkhana
A little taste of India in the heart of Mayfair: dine on one star contemporary Indian cuisine, including duck egg bhurji and chola kulcha, for £25 ($32) for two courses or £35 ($45) for three.
3. Alyn Williams at The Westbury
Sample Londoner Alyn Williams's confident French cooking at this one-star hotel restaurant for a very reasonable £30 ($39) for three courses.
4. Dabbous
Ollie Dabbous is one of the brightest young things on the London dining scene and for £28 ($36) for three courses or £35 for four, you can enjoy BBQ rack of veal and coddled egg.
5. Fera at Claridges
Simon Rogan's Fera can be found in the space once occupied by Gordam Ramsay at this world famous London hotel. For £39 for three courses, discover just what has made Rogan perhaps the UK's most talked about chef, with his Cumbrian flagship L'Enclume recently winning UK's best restaurant for the fourth year in a row.
6. Murano
Relaxed Italian fare from Angela Hartnett, with lunch priced at £28 for two courses and £33 ($43) for three.
7. Lyle's
Indulge in updated a la carte British classics like halibut and black cabbage at James Lowe's much talked about Shoreditch eatery, which won it's first Michelin star this year.
8. Dinner by Heston Blumenthal
Three courses will set you back £40 ($51) at Heston Blumenthal's London outpost, but surely it's worth spending that extra dollar for two star cooking of this calibre?
