100 Best Restaurants in the UK 2013

The 100 Best Restaurants in the UK have been announced at a Gala Dinner in London attended by a list of industry experts including Joan Roca who runs the world's best restaurant El Celler De Can Roca in Spain.

It was Tom Kerridge's Hand and Flowers pub in Marlow that took top spot as the UK's best restaurant - toppling Brett Graham's The Ledbury which had previously held the title for three consecutive years. 2-courses at the Hand and Flowers cost just 15 pounds and it's the only pub in the UK to hold two Michelin stars.

The Ledbury dropped to second place followed by Jason Atherton's Pollen Street Social in third. The big news was the arrival of the The Clove Club - a new bar and restaurant in Shoreditch Town Hall started by chef Isaac Mchale of The Young Turks - it was the highest new entry on the list ranking at fifth.

The National Restaurant Awards, organized by Restaurant Magazine, are compiled by 150 industry experts, chefs, journalists and restaurateurs who offer their opinions on the best places to dine in the UK.
