The Michelin Guide France 2019 has been released with the big news being that the country now boasts two new three-star restaurants with Laurent Petit at Le Clos des Sens in Annecy and Mauro Colagreco at Mirazur in Menton both claiming the top title in the guidebook.
There were a total of five new two stars, six if you include the shock. That shock news was that Michelin awarded two stars back to Le Suquet, the restaurant operated by Sebastian Bras who famously asked to have his stars returned in 2017, the guide left the three-star restaurant out of the 2018 publication only to award them with two stars in the 2019 release.

In total, 68 restaurants were awarded their first star during the ceremony at La Salle Gaveau in Paris. It was the first edition led by the new International Director of the Michelin Guides, Gwendal Poullennec who had a message for the chefs, "Don't think about us too much. The key is your freedom."
There are a total of 632 Michelin starred restaurants in France, 520 one-star, 86 two-star and 27 three-stars. Below, you can find the list of all the new-star French restaurants.
