The big news of Michelin New York’s 2018 announcement centred on Jean Georges loosing their third star, but the most recent Michelin guide for the city also featured six new restaurants in the one star category.
Six fresh faced places that have gained recognition with a place among New York’s Michelin adorned restaurants. Three of the restaurants, Sushi Amane, Bar at Uchu and Satsuki, all feature Japanese inspired cooking, showing how Japan’s Michelin dominance at home is now starting to spread internationally.
Cote also received a first star, a Korean BBQ spot with serious attitude. Then there was The Clocktower by Jason Atherton and the modern bistro Rouge Tomate.
Below we take a look at dishes from all of New York’s new Michelin starred restaurants.
