Michelin has chosen its Pub of the Year for 2018, awarded to the best gastropub in the UK and Ireland, as part of its annual Eating Out in Pubs guide.
This year’s winner is The Pointer, in the village of Brill, in Buckinghamshire, England. The kitchen in this 18th century inn turns out hearty, largely British fare, just the kind of food you want to encounter in a cosy pub, with much of the rare breed meat coming from the pub’s own 240 acre farm. They also have a butcher’s shop next door.
And, those who want to enjoy the pub and its food without having to worry about how they're getting home can stay in one of four guest rooms in a cottage opposite. Perfect for when a leisurely lunch ends around closing time.
Enjoy pics from The Pointer below. Last year's winner was The Marksman, in Bethnal Green, London.
