Claude Troisgros of Rio's Olympe restaurant will be the recipient of the The Diners Club® Lifetime Achievement Award 2016 at Latin America's 50 Best Restuarants sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna next month, it has been announced.
French-born Troisgros has been at the forefront of French/Brazilian fusion at Olympe (formerly Restaurant Claude Troigras) since it opened in 1983. Last year it claimed 23rd spot in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants.
Originality
The Diners Club® Lifetime Achievement Award "recognises the contribution, originality and imprint of a chef’s career," and was awarded last year to Enrique Olvera.
As previously announced, Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants will return to Mexico City after a successful showing there in 2015. Now in its fourth year, the event will be held at the Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral on 26 September. Fine Dining Lovers will be live–streaming the ceremony here.
