We brought you news last year that the celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were getting into the wine business and now the couple’s first bottles have finally gone on sale.
The wine is produced at Chateau Miraval which is in the Rhone Valley on the couple’s 148 acre estate which sits at an altitude of 1148 feet - a place they apparently bought for $60 million.
The organic Rose went on sale a few weeks ago in the UK chain Marks & Spencers and Decanter magazine say it has a ‘mouth-watering finish’ and a ‘delicate structure’. The celebrity’s next offering will be a white wine.
They are working alongside the winemaker Marc Perrin of the world famous Perrin family who own Château Beaucastel in Chateauneuf-du-Pape to help them produce and distribute the wine.
The couple have distributed 200,000 bottles of their first wine which is priced around $15.
