On July 4th, Chef Luigi Taglienti's Café Trussardi hosted a fine dining event inviting international Thai cuisine wizard Chumpol Jangprai. The menu was called "East meets West" and the two chefs prepared it in front of the crowd creating a great culinary dialogue and atmosphere. A delicious way to bring together two different cultures in a four-handed showcooking.
The gourmet expert Roberta Schira, who attended the evening, commented on the experience: "The evening with Luigi Taglienti and Chumprol Jangpria once again proved that North and South, East and West, all meeting points are positive for a great food experience. Chef Taglienti's squid pastry was enriched by coconut milk (thai), the risotto turns yellow not for its Milanese tradition but because of the curcuma; Chef Jangprai used Italian wines to reduce, basil from Liguria to season, and tried playing with the very Italian panna cotta for dessert. The result is a mix of colors, tastes, memories and connections as blossoming as a field of flowers. The field we are talking about saw Piazza della Scala on its backdrop."
Thai food and Italian food worked together under the expert hands of the chefs to the delight of the guests.
