Three more speakers have been added to the lineup of the third annual MAD Symposium, the educational gastro-fest organized by Denmark's René Redzepi. This year's MAD3 will be held August 25-26th.
The confirmed speakers are Diana Kennedy, a cookbook author and authority on Mexican cuisine, chef Pascal Barbot from the three Michelin-starred Parisian restaurant L'Astrance, and chef Roy Choi from Los Angeles.
Other confirmed speakers include acclaimed chef Alex Atala from Brazil, considered the fourth best chef in the world, and Indian environmental activisit Dr. Vandana Shiva. So far, the names of only half of the confrimed speakers have been released.
Last year's MAD Symposium included the participation of acclaimed chefs Massimo Bottura and Ferran Adrià. You can read all about it here.
After three years of ranking number one, Redzepi's restaurant Noma just slipped to number two on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, which is sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
