Dominique Crenn, the three-Michelin-starred chef from Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, has announced she will be opening a new restaurant in Paris.
The French chef famous for her 'poetic culinaria' and recipient of the World's 50 Best's Icon Award 2021 will open a space dedicated to New Orleans cuisine in the French capital.
“We are ready to open the French Nola, a restaurant that will be the meeting point between the cuisines of New Orleans, San Francisco and France,” she said.
French newspaper Le Figaro reports that a Parisian team, supervised by Crenn, will be made up of chefs Jean-Christophe Bourguignon and Jake Smollett, for the New Orleans touch. “We have the right people, we know what we want to offer and we have the funds. We are just looking for a place," she said.
This will be Crenn's debut restaurant in Europe, and her homeland of France The chef pursued her career in the United States since the late 1980s, where she now runs Atelier Crenn, Petit Crenn and Bar Crenn, all of which are located in San Francisco.
The news lands during the European tour Crenn is undertaking with her Californian team.
