News of chef Alexandre Mazzia’s AM restaurant’s third Michelin star was welcomed in the French world of gastronomy as richly deserved.
The cuisine of the Marseille chef has come of age in less than two years and the elevation of the restaurant to Michelin’s highest accolade puts the chef in a very exclusive club.
The chef, who operates his three-Michelin star restaurant in Marseille, recently pivoted seamlessly to a food truck operation during the coronavirus lockdown.
"I am very moved. I think of my wife, of Marco my second, who is more of a brother in arms, and of my team. Today I am proud to say that I am a cook," said Mazzia.
Have a look at the dishes that inspired the Michelin inspectors to award AM restaurant a third Michelin star.
