David Chang is back with the second season of Ugly Delicious. The latest series features just half the number of episodes of the previous season, with four episodes that take on children’s food, Indian food, steak, and Middle Eastern food.
Chang, who just recently became a father, is seen getting ready for the arrival of his first child in episode one, and subsequently tackles the world of kid’s menus and baby food with the help of comedian Nick Kroll.
The Indian food episode brings in comedian Aziz Ansari and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi to discuss the vast world of Indian food and the problem with the stereotypical idea of "curry".
As with the previous season, the new series uses food as a vehicle for addressing misconceptions and breaking down cultural barriers. Other famous faces to join Chang as he travels from Sydney to Istanbul to Mumbai for the four-part series include actor Danny McBride, The Ringer’s Bill Simmons, artist Dave Choe, and writers Helen Rosner and Chris Ying.
Ugly Delicious Season 2 will start streaming on Netflix on March 6.
