The 50 Top Italy, the online guide dedicated to the best of Italian cuisine, has announced the list of best Italian restaurants both in Itay and abroad for 2020.
The Best Italian Restaurants in the World 2019 award, recognising the best Italian restaurants outside the Bel Paese were awarded to:
1. Passerini restaurant, Paris
2. Don Alfonso 1890, Toronto
3. Heinz Beck Restaurant, Tokyo
The project also recognised local talents with the Best Restaurants in Italy 2020, divided into four price ranges: Low Cost, Trattoria / Osteria, Meal up to 120 euros and Meal over 120 euros, for a total of two hundred establishments. The whole of Italy is included in the project, with restaurants voted on anonymously by a jury of 130 inspectors.
50 Top Italy 2020 | Special Awards
Special prizes were also awarded - the S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna Prize for the Territory 2020 was awarded to chef Ciccio Sultano of the Duomo restaurant in Ragusa and the S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna Chef of the Future Award went to Davide Guidara of Sum Restaurant, in Catania.
