Gordon Ramsay is not known for being polite, especially if you decide to mess with him, and it seems the chef has always been this way - even as a young trainee.
In this clip from Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ramsay recounts a story of his early days training inside of one of Joël Robuchon’s restaurants in Paris.
The chef explains how after doing his time chopping shallots he was eventually allowed on the main line, only for a chef to crack an egg on his head while he was cooking.
Not to be outdone by anyone, Ramsay decided to get his revenge with a personal collection of pigeon livers he allowed to fester for days outside.
That’s right, Ramsay went from egg on his face to slamming rotting pigeon liver in the young chef’s face. A perfect way of making sure he wasn’t messed with again or a step too far?
It reminds us of this other chef revenge story from Mario Batali in which he decided to get his own back on Marco Pierre White.
