On Tuesday, Rutz in Berlin became the city's first three Michelin starred restaurant to be listed in the newly released Michelin Guide to Germany for 2020.
The restaurant, wine bar and wine shop opened its doors in 2001, gaining its first Michelin star in 2008 and its second in 2017 before swiftly moving into the upper echelons of the Michelin star elite, joining Germany's nine other 3 Michelin starred restaurants in the latest guide.

German chef Marco Müller heads up the kitchen team delivering dishes "full of finesse, with a strong identity, but also cleverly balanced in terms of flavour." which Michelin noted, "stand out clearly because of the chef's ongoing dialogue with nature."
Müller’s “inspiration menu” is available as either six (€158) or eight courses (€198) and includes dishes like Baltic cod and kombu, elderflower and walnut, grilled pigeon redcurrant and mushrooms and mushrooms, chicken skin and salsify.
