When we featured the $1,500 cocktail back in February, we thought the sum was pretty incredible for a mixed drink. But there's a new kid on the block that's guaranteed to wow you: the $40,000 ruby cocktail.
The outrageous $40,000 Ruby Rose cocktail will be offered at The White Barn Inn & Spa in Maine on the occasion of the hotel's 40th anniversary, according to The Daily Meal.
The pricey drink will be served in a cocktail glass and made with Hanger One Vodka, St. Germain Elderflower, rosewater, pomegranate and fresh grapefruit juice. Oh yeah, and it'll feature a 4-carat ruby. Why the ruby? Traditonally, the stone is used in celebrating a 40-year wedding anniversary.
The Ruby Rose will be available at The White Barn Inn & Spa beginning June 1st. It is expected to be on the menu for the rest of the year.
Now you know what to do with that extra $40,000 you have laying around...if not, you can enjoy the cocktail sans a ruby for $18.
