UK restaurant guide Square Meal has just released its 'Hot 100,' an annual list of the 100 London restaurants generating the most buzz amongst the Square Meal community, and it seems chef Jason Atherton is the restaurant king of the capital, with a total of five on the list.
His Pollen Street Social tops the list this year, followed by his City Social (20), Berners Tavern (25), Social Eating House (29), and Little Social (68) restaurants.
The British chef, who previously worked under Gordon Ramsay, has built a 16-strong restaurant empire worldwide, including nine in London alone, and the newly Michelin-starred The Clocktower in New York.
The rankings are not neccessarily an indication of the 'best' restaurants, say Square Meal, but are compiled from user surveys, hits on the website and the opinions of the editorial staff.
The list is a mix of perrenial fine dining favourites and newer more casual spots, proving London's diversity, as one of the best city's to eat in the world.
