A U.K based company is looking to hire a Director of Taste who will be paid a salary of £50,000 ($66,000) to travel the world and report back on the different foods they taste.
Vibrant Vegan Co. want to hire a chef or someone from the food business with at least three years experience, to taste a range of plant-based foods and report back to the company.
Iain Burke-Hamilton, the founder of Vibrant Vegan Co which offers a plant-based food subscription service, told Insider: “There are hundreds of ingredients and recipes across the world that haven't been presented to the UK consumer, so we hope our new recruit will be able to inspire some new and tasty recipes for our vegan ready meal offering.”
The job posting states that the successful applicant will have an “excellent palate” as they will be responsible for “finding, then taste testing new exotic ingredients and recipes, which will be fed back and incorporated into our products.”
The job will require 35-hour weeks with all food, travel and accommodation expenses covered. There's also full sick pay and 28 days holiday a year. They would like someone with a Food Science degree but this is not mandatory.
