Gambero Rosso, the Italian restaurant bible, has released its online guide to the Top Italian restaurants in the world for 2019.
The list includes some 500 Italian restaurants in over 35 countries, from Canada to Germany and Australia to Mexico.
While many of the listed restaurants might be thousands of miles from their motherland, what the guide guarantees is that each address is committed to presenting an authentic taste of Italy a long way from home.
From hospitality and cooking technique to recipes and ingredients guests can dine with confidence, whether we're talking Roman tripe in Scandinavia or Neapolitan Pizza in New York.
LuMi in Sydney Australia snags the "Restaurant of the Year" title with chef Federico Zanellato at the helm creating refined Italian dishes with a Japanese spin.
