We love a knife restoration video here at FDL – there’s just something very calming and meditative about them.
This has to be one of our favourites, from a YouTube channel called Andre Will Do It.
Titled ‘Impossible Restoration’ that’s exactly what you think when you first see the butcher’s knife. With years of rust built up it looks ready for the scrap heap.
But after a lot of sanding, polishing and sharpening the results are incredible, and the guy in the video even creates a new handle for the knife.
It goes to show how with care and skill, even the most lifeless of kitchen tools can be brought back into use.
