Grilled swordfish is always a treat, especially when you make it at home. It is simple to prepare, tastes great and can be paired with almost anything.
Here we share a simple but delicious grilled swordfish recipe that would be lovely served with mixed greens, rice pilaf or pasta. It can be dressed up with herbs and spices once you've mastered the basics.
If you've had trouble grilling fish before remember to coat the swordfish in oil liberally and allow it cook on one side before flipping over. If the fish won't budge allow it more time to cook before turning.
Easy Grilled Swordfish Recipe
2 grilled swordfish steaks
1 tablespoon of olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
lemon wedges
Preheat the grill to medium heat. Coat the swordfish steaks in olive oil and season liberally with salt and pepper on both sides. Grill 3 to 4 minutes per side. The swordfish will be done when it turns opaque and the meat flakes. Squeeze a bit of lemon over it before serving.
Tip: When considering side dishes remember swordfish has a mild sweetness that pairs well with sharp flavors such as garlic, lemon and spicy sauces.
