This year the The iPhone Photography Awards celebrated its 10th edition. Every year, since 2007, IPPAWARDS has recognised the best photos taken with an iPhone or iPad.
The Awards were founded by Kenan Aktulun in the same year that the first iPhone was launched worldwide, to inspire people from around the world to take pictures with their phone.
Ten years later the awards are still going strong, as Kenan Aktulun comments, “We are amazed to see how IPPAWARDS has grown from a small circle of people and friends of friends into a truly global audience with thousands of participants. In this time of political upheaval we feel very thankful to host such a truly diverse group of people and their view of the world.”
And the winner is…
This year’s winners were selected from thousands of shots submitted by iPhone photographers from over 140 countries around the world.
The Grand Prize Winner Photographer of the Year Award went to Children of Qayyarah, a picture by Sebastian Tomada from New York City, USA.
