You might think that curly fries are a modern invention, you might even think they’re terrible, as most are, but you probably don’t think of them as being nearly 200 years old.
But you certainly will after you watch the video recipe from Jas. Townsend and Son, Inc. who say they have discovered a recipe for curly fries that’s 190 years old.
The recipe is found in Mary Randolph's 19th century cookbook ‘The Virginia Housewife,’ and the team, who are known for discovering and publishing traditional recipes from old cookbooks, say it’s one of their most delicious finds.
It’s easy to make yourself and crazy to realise that a recipe from so long ago is so much better than the modern equivalent bought in the store.
