If you have ever breaded chicken then you can this avocado fries recipe. We recommend using a slightly underripe Hass avocado, but any avocado will work. You will need flour, a beaten egg, and panko (or any other type of breadcrumb).
Avocado Fries Recipe
1 cup (13.5 UK tbsp) of flour (can be gluten-free)
1 egg
1 cup panko (breadcrumbs)
salt and pepper to taste
a pinch of chili powder, optional
Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat.
Mix the flour, salt, pepper and pinch of chili powder in a small bowl. Place the egg in a separate bowl and beat well. Place the panko in another bowl and form an assembly line (flour, egg, panko).
Peel the avocado and cut into slices. Pass each slice through the flour, dust off the excess, then run through the egg and panko. Place on a lined baking sheet. Bake until nice and golden, about 20 minutes.
