Microwave ready meals, even the plastic clad oven prepared meals, don't have the best reputation among discerning food lovers, however, one man plans to change this with the invention of a ready meal that costs the startling sum of £314 ($513)
Developed by Charlie Bigham, the man behind a number of high-end ready meals sold at Waitrose, this fish pie contains oyster, caviar, lobster tails and, of course, champagne.
Full break down: The primary fish in the pie is turbot which is poached in vintafe Champagne, that's coupled with salmon from Norway and oysters, hand dived scallops (pan fried in the world famous El Mil Del Poaig olive oil from Spain) and lobster tail all from Cornwall. The binding mash potato is then mixed with some truffle infused pecorino cheese and there you have it - a £314 pie.
It can be ordered on online at Charlie Bigham's website and if anyone is crazy enough to buy it then please let us know how it tastes.
