Designer Mickael Boulay has developed a sleek line of cutlery called Transitions. It's a unique set of silverware designed for a greater good.
Boulay collaborated with a physiotherapist to develop spoons, forks and knives that assist those with impaired motor skills. Each piece of the set comes in various shapes and sizes that are easy to grip. As the diner slowly develops his or her ability to grasp a fork or knife, for instance, they move on from bulky utensils to slimmer ones.
Here's how Boulay describes his work: ''Being handicapped isn't synonymous with remaining handicapped, and progress is always possible. Additionally, at every step of the process, my cutlery aims to make people comfortable with improving their current condition.''
