Once sad looking mattresses left slumped in Parisian streets have been given a curbside makeover by street artist Lor-K turning them into huge food art.
Usually something of an eyesore, the abandoned mattresses have been given an lick of colour and an inventive culinary twist, turning them into sights for sore eyes for late–night revellers on their way home.
Firm food favourites, from paninos and kebabs to sushi and slices of fancy French cakes have all been super–sized and turned into spongey street art and left haphazardly on the pavements.
Bedding doubles up as whipped cream, mattresses as slices of bread, and foam as sponge cake slices, providing a sweet surprise round unexpected street corners.
The work in progress looks labour intensive deploying suitably robust tools to serve the food of gigantic proportions where saws replace bread knives and spray cans replace condiment bottles.
