Netflix are not messing about with their food programming and plan to launch a new show that will feature some of the world’s best chefs as they get ready to judge the streaming service’s first ever cooking competition.
Master Chef, British Bake Off and Top Chef have proven time and time again that chefs pitted against each other in different challenges makes for primetime viewing. The new show on Netflix, called The Final Table, will feature 12 teams of two chefs as they compete in different challenges across nine different countries.
Winners of these local challenges will then have a chance to compete at the final table, featuring chefs such as Enrique Olvera, Grant Achatz, Yoshihiro Narisawa and Anne-Sophie Pic as the chef judges who will pick a final winner.
Each episode will focus on a country of one of the judges, taking in local cuisine, culture and traditions along the way. There’s no details of an exact release date, only that it’s expected in Fall this year.
