David Chang’s new Ugly Delicious Netflix series is now online with critics, foodies, chefs and followers all lapping up the ugly sauces, delicious flavours and deep ideas presented in the show.
If you haven’t caught an episode yet you’ll be surprised at how chill the style is, as Chang chats with chefs, critics, producers, purveyors and general food lovers about how some of our favourite foods are actually made.
Pizza, fried chicken and fried rice all feature as Chang sets about exploring authenticity, food culture and deep deliciousness around the world with different foods used as the lens to larger issues. Don’t expect recipes or over the top food porn, expect true appreciation of food and the many faces, traditions and cultures that help to form it.
Tokyo, Beijing, New York and Houston all feature in the series as Chang shows off some of his favourite delicious finds from around the globe.
