The Sportsman restaurant in England, owned and run by chef Stephen Harris, has been voted the best restaurant in the UK.
It was picked number one on SquareMeal’s 100 Best Restaurants in The UK list which is voted on by Square Meal readers and selected food bloggers.
Second on the list was Raymond Blanc’s Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire, while third place went to Simon Rogan and his L'Enclume restaurant in Cumbria. This list doesn’t consider restaurants in London, instead working to give attention to restaurants outside the capital.
It’s full swing list season at the moment with a number of publications choosing July to publish their curated collections of the best places to eat - Business Insider recently published their round-up of the best restaurants in America.
