Watching corn popping in real time can be mesmerising and hugely satisfying, but in super slow motion? Well, it’s a beautiful thing.
This amazing video from Warped Perception, which has already wracked up close to 400,000 views on YouTube at time of writing, depicts corn popping at 30,000 frames per second, which is 1250 times slower than in real time.
Accompanied by a melancholic piano soundtrack, it’s all rather emotional and you almost mourn for the poor corn, as it transforms into popcorn, the light airy snack we all love.
What do you think though, does it beat the video below from Slo Mo Lab, who claim to shoot popcorn popping in slow motion at over 60,000 frames per second?
