Here’s some brilliant clips from an old television show that went behind the scenes at Marco Pierre White’s Harveys restaurant in London.
White ran the kitchen at the restaurant from 1987 to 1993 gaining two Michelin stars and training some of the most successful British chefs, including Phillip Howard and Gordon Ramsay.
One scene show reveals Marco’s tough attitude as he gives simple ‘yes’ and ‘no’ answers to the interviewer but he later calms down as he welcomes the legendary restauranteur Keith Floyd into his kitchen.
There’s also a few fun scenes where you can spot a very young Gordon Ramsay acting as White’s right hand man.
White is often called the first celebrity chef in England. Enjoy and don’t miss this other great clip showing a young Gordon Ramsay and Heston Blumenthal as they visit the elBulli restaurant.
