The New York stylist and baking fanatic, Sarah Phillips, is an expert food Instgrammer, and one of the few to successfully make a day job out of it.
With more than 330, 000 followers at her @food and 27,000 followers at her @baking, she was one of the first to get behind it as a business concept and learnt the ropes from her daughter.
“People say a picture is worth a thousand words but I think it is worth billions,” she tells the Financial Times.
And this 61-year-old seasoned professional knows what she’s talking about. Having caught the attention of many food brands, striking deals worth thousands of dollars, including Kraft, Unilever and Starbucks she has also been featured in numerous press, including The New York Times.
Phillips is not alone in her Instagram success, it seems most of the family are at it, dubbed ‘the matriarch of what may be called the First Family of Instagram’ by the New York Times. It would seem no family meal is complete without at least threee iPhones at the ready. Mind you, they have one strict rule which they abide by, no more than 2 posts a day.
We have picked up on some of her beautiful aerial shots of food presented in a kaleidoscope of colours, so eloquently captured that the mind almost overrules that these are pieces of edible food instead of amazing works of art.
