Alcoholic Architecture is the latest idea from the creative peeps at Bompas & Parr who are bringing their breathable cocktail experience to Borough Market in London.
In what sounds like something out of the future, the idea involves humidifying alcohol to saturate the air with a cloud of fine spirits and mixers that are apparently done at a ratio of 1:3.
The scariest line on the website says that “alcohol enters the bloodstream through primarily the lungs but also the eyeballs” but the company have been hosting events with walk-in breathable cocktails since 2009.
Their latest event is held next to the UK’s earliest gothic cathedral and the drinks are set to match the setting. They say the drinks on offer will Chartreuse, Benedictine, Trappist beer and even the notorious fortified Buckfast wine.
It opens at the end of July and is set to run for six months.
