Bush Coconuts and Honey Ants - Nordic Food Lab Radio

We brought you news last week about he launch of a new radios show from the Nordic Food Lab, we loved the first two episode about seaweed and termites and the team have recently launched their newest episode.

The second instalment from the lab’s ‘Thoughts from the Field’ series comes from Yuendumu in Australia.

The team taste honey ants and bush coconuts - an aboriginal food that is actually a gal formed by an coccid insect that grows on trees.

Just the like the first two offerings from the lab’s new radio show, this is a great journey that explores an entirely different culture to the ones most of us are accustomed with.
