The Spirit Museum in Stockholm has a new exhibition that shows of the history, culture and trends of Swedish beer brewing.
The exhibition promises to take visitors through all stages of the brewing process with interactive elements that ask guests to get to know the different hops and malt used to make them beer.
Today there are 150 different brewers in Sweden, a country that has seen a continued demand for beer, and the museum promises to show off some of the neglected styes of beer that are currently being revived by modern brewers.
It looks like a great exhibit with the museum promises a great experience for even the geekiest beer lover,. Here’s what they say on their site: “IPA, APA, DIPA, IPL, Geuze, Lambic, Dunkel, Tripel, Trappist – the constantly expanding flora of beer is turning into a jungle that requires a guide. Bloggers discuss, analyse and chaperone those most eager to learn. And the thirst for knowledge is great. We want to know what we’re drinking, where the beer comes from, why it tastes the way it does. In the wake of the beer nerds, an even bigger wave is forming: a new Swedish beer culture.”
