Chefs Daniel Patterson and Roy Choi have launched a crowd funding campaign to help raise funds for their new burger chain Loco’l.
There’s been a lot of news lately about chefs stepping into the world of fast food and using their expertise to put towards streamlining processes and cooking great quality dishes at affordable price.
David Chang will work with a new app aimed at improving food delivery in New York, Gaston Acurio told us about his plans to open some fast casual restaurants in Lima and recently we were all excited by the announcement that Daniel Patterson and Roy Choi will team up to launch their first of many fast food burger places called Loco’l.
The pair used the stage at MAD 4 to explain their new burger chain concept created ‘fast food made with real ingredients’ and have since said they have large scale plans to role out the idea across the States, the first location is planned for San Francisco.
The crowd funding campaign is looking to raise $150,000 towards building the first Loco’l in Tenderloin, San Francisco. As with most cord funding campaigns there are some interesting rewards for people who donate. A pledge of $5,000 will get you a day hanging out with chef Choi on Venice Beach, or a special farmers market walk with Chef Patterson as he shops for ingredients, $15,000 will get your name steamed on the first Loco’l restaurant.
